Homemade Apple Cider

There is nothing better than a KILLER hot cider recipe for these upcoming chilly months. I must admit, despite popular belief, I am so not a pumpkin spice kind of gal. I’m more of a cinnamon, apple, maple pecan girl. So really, it should come as no surprise that I am obsessed with homemade cider! I keep pots cooking constantly!

Here is what you’ll need!

  • 4 granny smith apples, sliced
  • 4 red delicious apples, sliced
  • 1 orange, slice
  • 1 1/2 TBS whole allspice
  • 1 1/12 TBS whole clove
  • 3-5 cinnamon sticks
  • 8 cupsΒ water
  • Place all of the fruit & spices into a slow cooker. Add the 8 cups of water & cook on high heat for 3-4 hours in a slow cooker. After this has been done, uncover the slow cooker, and mash the softened fruit with a potato masher. Now cover again and cook on low for 1-2 hours. Strain out fruit and spices from the slow cooker into a cheesecloth in a bowl. Lastly wait about 20-30 minutes for the cheesecloth to cool. Squeeze out cider from cheesecloth into the bowl. Pour the cider back into the slow cooker. Serve warm with a cinnamon stick!

I stay loyalty to this amazing recipe I found. I hope you enjoy!

Slow-Cooker Southern Ribs πŸŒΎ

Although not the healthiest of dinners, you really can’t go wrong with a rack of ribs that falls right of the bone, some corn on the cob, & mashed potatoes. πŸŒ½πŸ–

Some days I am too busy mommin’ so hard that I’m just desperate for an easy throw it in the crockpot type of meal because I can’t handle sweating over the stove for hours when my house is in chaos mode!

After testing a few different rubs and sauces, I found the BEST combo that my family just loves!

Champagne Floats πŸ₯‚

I’m a big fan of wine. Reds, whites, sweet, dry, you name it. My love for wine as an adult has a broad spectrum, but when you’re younger, you usually love the sparkly, sweet stuff, & the good Lord knows I did…

I have my grandmother to thank for this, as she spoiled me with her not so secret recipe to a boozy dessert! Well…Not quite a recipe, but more of a quick tip that I know love using for special celebrations, girls nights, etc!

Champagnes floats! Yup. Think Root Beer floats…but better.

We always (& still do) love to use Peach, Mango, & Raspberry Haagen-Dazs sorbet! Add a couple spoonfuls to your champagne glass, and pour the champagne over it!

Girls night just got that much better! You. Are. Welcome.

Here, I will post my PERFECT recipe that I use at home, and then you can decide what you’d like to add, or if you’re happy with the original, enjoy as is!

Homemade turkey meatballs with vodka sauce…it’s amore.

I like to pretend that Dean Martin was singing about my cooking in that song. Just kidding. Here’s another of my family dinner favorites! I won’t bore you on cooking the pasta for this dish because I’ll assume you know how to make it…al dente.
